Hello world and Happy New Year!
Now is a time when many people reflect on the year before and venture into new beginnings. I don’t want to jump on the trite resolution bandwagon- just yet. The sentiment is appropriately synonymous with this time of year but is all too often discarded come, say next week and certainly by February!
Merriam Webster’s online dictionary defines resolution as both: “the act of finding an answer or solution to a conflict or problem and the ability of a device to show an image clearly and with a lot of detail”.
Does your resolution need sharpening? Are the most important things in your life actually taking priority?
And why not resolve to refresh your resolutions as needed– say monthly instead of yearly- too many people throw in the towel when they mess up, (you just might mess up). Instead, hit the refresh button and change goals as needed. Celebrate small victories in the right direction.
Taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it’s more like the cha-cha…they key is too keep dancing. So, whatever you’re up to: cleaning out your closet, making life changes, (big or small), may this year be a year of continual improvement and optimism!
